Book Reading 'Mister Finch and the Queen'
Local children's author and Cameron House alumn, Camille Goodman, visited Cameron Vale on 28th February to read the children her hilarious new picture book, 'Mister Finch and the Queen', the first book in what will become a series and very apt for the year of the Queen's Jubilee! Mister Finch is a delightfully eccentric old man, about to receive his invitation from the Queen to the palace as he is soon to be one hundred. His pet chick, Marcello, goes everywhere with him on his rickety pink bicycle, visiting London’s most iconic sights. It's a tale that hopes to bring young and old together, laughing and concocting their own stories of misadventures wherever they may be. Camille designed some fun educational activities linked to the book to spark the childrens' creative imagination and had a wonderful time meeting the children.
