The phrase 'self-esteem' is used to talk about the beliefs that one has of oneself: one’s abilities and potential to achieve. Encouraging positive self-image and healthy self-esteem in all the children in our care is one of the most important roles we have to play as educationalists and, getting it right will impact on children’s future success far beyond their adolescent years.
Just after half term, Cameron Vale School and The Chelsea Nursery pupils, parents and staff enjoyed an afternoon of sports and fun. The children completed a circuit of various athletic activities including relay races, shot put and the discus.
We enjoyed watching students compete in their various events and even parents and teachers got to race!
The children showed off their skills they have been working on in their sports lessons with Rory, and demonstrated their great Collaborative spirit and sportsmanship during their events.
The Met Office have issued a level 3 Heat warning for this Friday and Saturday
At Cameron Vale, we ensure children are drinking lots of water (please remember to send in drinking bottles for them to fill), are wearing hats and sun cream. Also send along a change of clothing in case of playground splashes!
Please find below some additional information from the NCT.
Our wonderful Friends of Cameron Vale (FoCV) organised a Book 'bring and swap' this week.
Pupils brought in a selection of books to swap and got to choose a book for a wide selection
All left over books are to be donated to charity.
